Had Elvis Presley not left the building for good back in 1977, he might be blowing out 75 candles on a peanut butter-and-banana cake today.

The man who would be The King was born Jan. 8, 1935, in a shack in Tupelo, Miss. From those humble beginnings, the hip-swivelling singer rose to become a founding father of rock ’n’ roll and one of the most influential American artists. And one of the most prolific, having cut more than 800 songs in his 20-year career.

But there are also scores of cool Elvis tunes — album cuts, B-sides and soundtrack tunes — that casual listeners may not have heard. So, to commemorate Presley’s 75th birthday, here’s a 75-minute set list of Presley’s rockin’ rarities. Some are serious. Some are silly. Most are easy to find on the Interwebs.
